When is my team performing?

A full schedule of when each team is performing is available here.

I'm having trouble finding my team's items on TVNZ+

There are 55 groups performing this year, which originate from 13 regions from across Aotearoa and Australia: Te Whenua Moemoeā (Australia); Waitaha; Te Tau Ihu; Te Whanganui ā Tara; Rangitāne; Te Kāhui Maunga; Ngāti Kahungunu; Te Tairāwhiti; Mataatua; Te Arawa; Tainui; Tāmaki Makaurau, and Te Tai Tokerau. Each of these regions has a tab located in the Te Matatini ‘Prelims’ show page to help viewers find the team they're after.

How soon after each performance will the clips be available on TVNZ+?

We will post the full performance bracket as well as the individual items as quickly as possible after each performance.

Why aren't all of the performances available live or on TVNZ+?

For rights reasons, TVNZ does not have permission to broadcast all Te Matatini groups due to the commercial musical tracks contained in some performances. We're sorry to disappoint our audiences if they're not able to watch their team compete on TVNZ.

How can I access alternative commentary as a non-Te Reo Māori speaker?
