Who is Tim Batt?

Tim Batt is the host of Banter, and the writer, and the researcher...

In fact he wears - and has worn - many caps in his career to date.

Tim's an award winning comedian (Best Newcomer 2013, Billy T Nominee 2014 & 2015) with an extensive background in radio and television broadcasting.

He's produced and co-hosted radio programmes, including the national drive time slot on Radio Hauraki with Matt Heath; while also finding time to regularly write and appear on NZ's top comedy TV shows.

Tim founded Little Empire Podcasts. A network with over 7 million downloads across all shows.This includes his collaboration with Guy Montgomery, The Worst Idea of All Time, which has recently toured internationally.

Tim has also gained a reputation for his commentary of current and political events. His fresh role as the host of Banter is the perfect mix of both his worlds.

Each week Tim will be guiding a new panel of familiar faces through some of the contemporary issues facing New Zealanders. Not to mention during a live broadcast.

So no pressure then...

He's sharp, clued up and wickedly funny so those watching should be prepared for something that will be monumental...
