Chris' work in television began in 1986 as Associate Producer and Director with TVNZ’s Religious Programmes Unit. 

He played a key role in developing a range of programme strands including Signs of the Times and The Way We Are as well as producing Praise Be from 1991 - 1994 and being the NZ Producer on the BBC co-production “A Land of Our Own”, a programme for Waitangi Day 1990.

Chris is an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand.

He was a University Chaplain from the late '70s to mid '80s and had a close association with the Conference of Churches in Aotearoa New Zealand, the Council for World Mission and the Churches' Broadcasting Commission. 

He also taught a course in Religion, Media and Culture at Victoria University in 2001/2002.

In 1999 Chris founded Mixed Media Ltd, a company offering services in communications, media training, issues management, Public Relations, church relations and mediation. 

Chris' other interests include his family, music, malt whisky, all forms of sport and holidaying in Golden Bay.  Chris is married with three adult children.
