Telecom's internet arm in trouble

Xtra's Go Large broadband advertising campaign, touting unlimited net use, is under fire from the Consumers' Institute.

The institute says the company monitors how much data is used and if it goes over a certain amount, makes contacts with the customer to offer a switch to another plan.

Consumers Institute president David Russell says the company needs to be more direct about explaining there are special conditions which need to be adhered to.

David Russell says consumers shouldn't be facing questions about usage when they're on an unlimited usage plan.
