A deep obsession
He's just set a world record for diving... after holding his breath for an incredible 8 minutes and 11 seconds. Diving to the ocean floor on a single breath is an ancient skill among pearl fishermen, but in the last 20 years it's become an internationally competitive sport - as beautiful as it is potentially deadly. For Dave Mullins it's the passion of his life after swimming a massive 113 metres to the bottom of the ocean - and he's not the only one. As mother of two Fran Rose reveals to 20/20's Pete Cronshaw, there's a huge fringe benefit, with free diving an instant passport to losing significant amounts of weight.

Freediving can be dangerous and should never be undertaken by people without the correct supervision. If you would like to find out more about freediving in New Zealand and the clubs you can get in touch with, information can be found at the AIDA New Zealand website .

First family
He's a man who appears to be on the verge of making world history by becoming the first black President of the United States. And we may think we know all about him, but in this exclusive interview with 20/20, Barack Obama reveals what's shaped him, and brought him to this moment. He talks about his close relationship with his mother, and what life without a dad was really like. You'll also see never-been-aired footage of a very young Barack drawing crowds with one of his first public speeches, and hear why his professor believes he was always destined for great things.

Bait and switch
With the number of stolen cars in New Zealand soaring, one country thinks it may just hold the solution. As a Canadian police officer reveals to 20/20, the use of so-called bait cars draws in would-be thieves and then leaves them stranded with a locator beacon, making them easy for police to find. And what the hidden camera footage reveals is extremely frightening - with most of the criminals high on a cocktail of drugs when they're behind the wheel, making it truly a matter of life and death when it comes to getting them off the road. Natural born star
She's a teenage singing sensation, and most of her fans are too young to even remember her father was one first. 20/20 talks with Miley Cyrus, and her dad, Billy Ray about whether he's been left with an Achy Breaky Heart after his daughter's career eclipsed his own. And Miley talks frankly about how stardom's affected her - and why she believes she won't become the next Britney or Lindsay.

PLUS Second Life Love - We've heard a lot about the perils of Second Life - the computer generated world which has raised eyebrows by becoming a haven for simulated sex and crime. But 20/20 brings you the story of two people who managed to find true love thanks to Second Life - which helped them change the way they looked at themselves, and others.

The best of New Zealand and international current affairs - 20/20 - presented by Miriama Kamo with reporters Pete Cronshaw, Paul Hobbs and Sonya Wilson.
