Michelle comes home from her night out with a man in tow. After singing karaoke in a city centre bar, Michelle meets up with an old mate JD. He tells her his band needs a backing singer for a gig, and may have a tour coming up. Michelle is excited at the prospect of going on tour, and Becky thinks it sounds very glam. Arriving back at the pub with JD, Michelle tells Steve JD has come back for a night cap. JD stays the night on the couch, but Michelle lets Steve think he stayed with her. David and Tina squabble but Joe and Gail are getting on well. At the bowling, neither Tina nor David are fooled by accidentally bumping into each other, while Gail and Joe enjoy each other's company. However, Tina is reminded of David's jealousy when he can't cope with her getting chatty to the barman. Later, Tina gets into trouble because of David hanging around and distracting her at work. She heads to the salon where David is already in the bad books with his boss for being late and off sick. Tina proceeds to sabotage everything David does.

A weakened Jerry finds he still need Teresa. Teresa calls in for a repeat prescription and explains to Gail that Jerry has lost a pack. She continues to make excuses about the flat he's found for her, but he says it's sorted and ready to move into. Later, Jerry is struggling with the kids as he starts to feel weaker thanks to the extra pills Teresa has been giving him. He is grateful when she steps in to deal with them.
