Parliament has suspended its business on Thursday to enable MPs to attend the funeral of the Green Party co-leader, Rod Donald.
The Christchurch Cathedral is expected to be packed with political figures and colleagues joining Mr Donald's family and friends for Thursday morning's service.
Speakers will include the Prime Minister, Helen Clark, the Greens' co-leader, Jeanette Fitzsimons, and the Australian Greens' leader, Bob Brown. Leaders and MPs from all parties in Parliament are expected at the service.
