Wendy Moniz stars as Louisa "Lulu" Archer, a passionate lawyer at Legal Services. Lulu is the kind of lawyer who works hard for the benefit of others rather than her own financial gain.
Moniz captured the role of Lulu Archer after auditioning for another part in the series. Soon after her first audition, Moniz was delighted to learn that the producers were interested in seeing her for Lulu Archer. Upon reading the script, Moniz knew the character of Lulu was a natural fit.
As an East coast transplant, Moniz was convinced that her decision to move to Los Angeles was a good one when she booked her first audition for a television pilot entitled Partners, starring CSI's Marg Helgenberger. She then went on to star alongside Jack Lemmon and Hank Azaria in ABC's Emmy Award-winning movie Tuesdays with Morrie, and was a series regular in the final season of Nash Bridges.
Before making the jump to primetime, Moniz made her own distinctive mark on daytime television as she embraced the role of Dinah Marler on CBS' Guiding Light. After a three-year stint on the show, she decided that she was ready to take on the challenges of primetime.
Influenced by her mother's involvement in community theatre, Moniz began acting at the tender age of five and continued through high school and college. "I can't remember a time when acting wasn't a part of my life," she says.
Moniz was raised in Fall River, Massachusetts, and is currently bi-coastal with her primary residence being New York City, where she lives with her actor husband, stepson and two dogs. Her birthdate is January 19.
