Ngāpuhi leaders will be holding an important hui for iwi members to discuss the reburial of Hone Heke's bones and treasures. The hui will be held before October 28 when the Northland chief will be finally laid to rest on Mt Putahi.

White Lies screening at Toronto Film Festival

The film explores cultural identity through the characters of a healer Paraiti, played by Whirimako Black in her acting debut, and a wealthy woman with an unwanted pregnancy played by Antonia Prebble. It's one of three NZ films to be selected for the festival which will show 366 feature length and short films altogether.
