Weird Together are set to perform on TVNZ’s Good Morning tomorrow
You may recognise her as Clementine Dean on Shortland Street but Karima Madut will appear on our TV screens on Tuesday, 21st April for an entirely different reason.
A talented singer, Karima is part of an ensemble musical project called Weird Together, who will be on tomorrow’s TVNZ Good Morning show performing songs from their recently launched EP.
Weird Together is the studio and live project from NZ Producer Dick Johnson, and Nick Dwyer. Weird Together launched in 2012 and consists of a series of talented and multi-cultural musical individuals.
The band have just recently completed shooting their first music video in Ghana for the song No Compromise which can be heard on their EP ‘Sub Sahara’. You can check out the music video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APyHNwnRpOI
And in even more exciting news it has just been announced that they will be the headlining act for the reopening of Auckland’s historic St James Theatre. They are set to perform alongside other NZ artists including P-Money, The Peacekeepers, MC Tali, High Hoops and many more.
Karima Madut moved from Kenya to New Zealand when she was seven years old. The talented actress and singer performed in many of her school’s theatre performances, which helped to create the origins for her passion for performance. You can learn more about Karima here.
