Shorty stars take on powerful film

Shortland Street actors Ben Mitchell (TK) and Matt Chamberlain (Murray) are starring in the new Kiwi film Broken Hallelujah.

The movie is inspired by a true story about love, the power of friendships and the complications of families.

The use of multiple character-driven stories was influenced by Leonard Cohen's hit ‘Hallelujah’ with the characters and their relationships loosely reflecting elements and themes of the song.

The film touches on the dreams and desires of the characters and their motivation for some of the things they do and the decisions they make.

We have five double passes to the premiere in Auckland to give away here!
