Greg started his journalistic life in 1991 at a private radio station in Tauranga. He was quickly promoted to chief reporter and newsreader.

He then went on to IRN News and Sport in Wellington for a year as a reporter and sports reader, then to IRN in Auckland as sports sub and reader for three years.

He soon made the leap into television with ATV, part of the Horizon Pacific group of regional television, first as a general reporter then business reporter for The NBR Report.

From there it was to TVNZ as a reporter and some-time fill-in presenter of the Business programme.

Next, Greg moved to Target as the Auckland-based reporter.

After a stint back in radio, Greg has constantly added to a long list of TV credits, as Associate Producer of Flipside, Executive Producer of The Last Word, Producer of Tonight, and reporter on Fair Go.
