All Blacks, Hurricanes and Wellington fullback and wing Cory Jane is the latest high-profile player to re-sign with New Zealand rugby.

29-year-old Jane has extended his contract with the New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU), the Hurricanes and his Wellington province through until 2014. It follows this week's announcement that Chiefs pivot Aaron Cruden has also re-signed through to 2014.

Cory Jane announced the news to his fans on Twitter tonight.

"I really enjoy playing my rugby for the Hurricanes and Wellington - it is my home and I love it here. Adding to that, I still have a desire to be an All Black and to play for my country so hopefully I play well enough to get more opportunities in the black jersey," Jane said.

Hurricanes Coach Mark Hammett said everyone in the Hurricanes would be celebrating the fact that Jane had recommitted to the team, and noted a growing maturity in him.

"Cory has really taken on a leadership role this year and has a great work ethic especially off the field. He is continually working on his game and is encouraging to the younger players around him."
