The Kiwis are hoping to unleash their new "Beast" against Australia in this weekend's opening game of the Four Nations tournament.
Junior Sa'u is playing in only his second game in the Kiwis jersey but he is being tipped for a big future with some comparing him to the man they called The Beast, Kevin Iro.
Kevin's brother, fellow ex-Kiwi Tony Iro, is the Kiwis' co-coach.
"Junior is probably one of those players who can roll over the top of people...very effective at it (and) got a nice offload as well. They are both players who could cause a lot of damage. I'm glad I'm not tackling him."
Sa'u himself says he is feeling confident to step up in the international arena after an impressive NRL season.
"We've got a good bunch of blokes that's thirsty and I'm pretty pumped up for this week. (I'm) ready to rock and roll."
The Kangaroos have the edge in the backs on paper but Australian coach Tim Sheens expects the Kiwis to try and unleash Sa'u.
"He's come from nowhere over the past 12 months...can be anything on his day. I've seen him have a terrible day occasionally, too, as do they all. He's inexperienced but he'd be excited about it," Sheens says.
