Celebrated New Zealand rower Mahe Drysdale's hoping his big race temperament will guide him to a fourth world title in Poznan, Poland on Saturday night.

Drysdale's the red hot favourite to win gold in the premier men's single sculls, due to go at 11.03.

He's unbeaten in 2009 and has the added motivation of wanting to make up for the disappointment of bronze at last year's Olympics.

He says he's been there before and knows he can perform when it counts.

Six New Zealand boats are in major finals tonight with adaptive rower Robin Tinga first up at 8.15.

The women's and men's pairs follow at 9.33 and 9.48 respectively.

The men's double and women's single sculler Emma Twigg also chase gold.
