About:

Super heavyweight champion Reuben Simanu takes on the record for the longest crucifix hold. This extremely physical record involves holding two 10kg weights at a 90 degree angle for longer than one minute 18 seconds.

Reuben is the current holder of the New Zealand, Oceania and Commonwealth bench press record, and was the first man in the Commonwealth to bench press 300 kg in 2004.

Tipping the scales himself at 155kg, the champion they call The Iron Giant is excited about putting this Guinness World Record to the test.

"The opportunity of attempting a Guinness World is huge.  I have always been a fan of the books from when I was a child."
