Australia have suffered a humbling 49-51 netball loss to England in London, handing the hosts an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-Test series.
England recorded just their fourth netball win over Australia, sealing their first-ever series win over the world champions.
Despite leading throughout the first two quarters, the Diamonds faced a fired-up opposition after the break, who quickly established a four-point margin.
At three-quarter time, the home side led 40-37 and the Australians failed to recover. Despite numerous botched goal shots by England in the dying stages, the red and white held on for victory.
A third Test will be played on Sunday (NZT) at Birmingham.
England utility Serena Guthrie said her team-mates would look to improve on the nation's most historic netball result.
"We went ahead [in the third quarter], but let them into the game, so we have to go back to the drawing board," Guthrie said.
"We definitely want a clean sweep now. We want them thinking about us long and hard for the future."
