The High Court trial of the Urewera four will only hear one witness today as one of the accused has fallen ill.

The four accused - Tame Iti, Emily Bailey, Te Rangikaiwhiria Kemara and Urs Signer - are charged with illegal possession of firearms and participation in an organised criminal group. They have pleaded not guilty.

Justice Rodney Hansen will adjourn the Auckland trial for the day after hearing the evidence of Kevin Wallace, a former police officer, as Signer is unwell.
