Spitfire plane makes emergency landing

A replica WW2-era Spitfire plane has made an emergency landing at Wanganui airport this evening.

The pilot was forced to make a belly landing on grass, after landing gear malfunctioned.

A Wanganui Airport spokesperson said the pilot, who is a local flyer, is uninjured.
