Holiday makers were held up this afternoon when a sheep decided to make a run for it.
Aucklander Natalie Norman, 28, snapped the lone sheep making its way along State Highway One near Warkworth, holding up traffic along the way.
"State Highway One was a little baaaaacked up! Was glad to see it wasn't the Warkworth bottleneck," she told ONE News.
The intersection in Warkwoth is a well-known trouble spot during
busy holiday periods.
Auckland Anniversary day is observed in the northern half of the North Island on Monday.
