We give you a rundown of some of the famous faces of Nashville!

 

Connie Britton plays country music legend Rayna Jaymes. But prior to working on Nashville, she was a legend in her own right on the small screen.

Britton got her big break in the 90s sitcom Spin City where she starred alongside Michael J. Fox. She then went on to star in other big primetime hits 24, The West Wing, and Friday Night Lights for which she received Emmy nominations.

Prior to landing her role on Nashville, Britton starred in the first season of American Horror Story where she was again nominated for an Emmy for her work.

 
 

Hayden Panettiere plays the troubled young starlet Juliette Barnes who is trying to cement her place in country music. However Panettiere has managed to cement her own career in television having started acting at just eleven months old.

She is best known as cheerleader Claire Bennett from the hit series Heroes which really saw her acting career take off. But Panettiere has also starred in many big-name movies as well; most notably- Scream 4, Remember the Titans, and Raising Helen.

 
 

Eric Close plays Rayna’s overshadowed husband Teddy Conrad, but in his acting career, Close has been anything but. Close spent nearly a decade starring on the hit show Without a Trace.

Close also had many recurring roles in hit shows such as ER, The Office, and Big Love.

 
 

Charles Esten who plays Deacon Claybourne began his career in musical theatre on the West End.

It was during this stint that he landed a role on the UK version of Whose Line Is It Anyway?, and eventually went on to star on the US version alongside Drew Carrey.

 
 

Powers Boothe plays successful businessman and Rayna’s father Lamar. It’s a role he is very familiar with having played other powerful characters like the Vice President of the United States on 24.

He has also starred in TV shows Deadwood, and Hatfields & McCoys.

 
 

Lesser-known Nashville actress Clare Bowen (Scarlett O’Connor) may be familiar to some from her short stint on TV2 soap Home and Away where she played Liam Murphy’s girlfriend.

She has also had roles on other iconic Aussie dramas All Saints, and The Cut, as well as Aussie comedy Chandon.

 
 

Another fledgling actor, Sam Palladio (Nashville’s Gunnar Scott), has appeared in hit show Episodes with Matt LeBlanc, as well as the movie Runner, Runner opposite Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck.
