About Mucking In
This series has now finished and nominations are no
longer being accepted
Mucking In is a show where a community gathers together to give
back to someone who has done so much for them. We send the
recipient away for a weekend, whilst joining forces with the local
businesses and community to create a fantastic new garden for
them.
Our garden designer, Tony Murrell, creates fabulous new
gardens that blow the minds of our recipients and the
volunteers. Each of Tony's gardens are completely different -
reflecting the personalities and individual needs of the recipients
as well as the local conditions.
The latest series of Mucking In continues to keep the
warmth and soul that we all love about Mucking In. Recipients
are not only surprised by a knock from Jim at their front door - it
can happen anywhere! And Jim also visits the recipients on
their weekend away, to find out what they've been up to and get to
know them a little bit more.
As always, tears, laughter, screams or quiet nods of approval -
you're never quite sure what the response will be when the
recipient sees their new garden for the first time. You can
be sure of one thing - there is a lot of fun along the way,
creating a garden that will be enjoyed for years to come!
