Noor Razzak faces our questionnaire

Noor Razzak - Noor Razzak Goes Kaboom!

1) How did you get the name of your show this year?
It was pretty easy actually, I wanted a show title that had some impact but mostly would allow me to come up with a silly expression on my face for my poster.

2) Tell us your favourite punchline?
It's a Mitch Hedberg joke: "I had this parrot. The parrot talked, but it did not say 'I'm hungry.' So it died." that punchline gets me every time.

3) What's been your best heckle?
I'm an Iraqi so it'll have to be when my mum threw a shoe at me.

4) What was your response?
It's my mum so you can't really retaliate... I was mostly disappointed because it was my shoe she threw, and it got lost.

5) What's the craziest thing you've ever bought on TradeMe?
I can't say I bought anything strange in TradeMe, but on eBay once I bought someone's soul for $4, I thought it was funny at the time, lots of people were starting these joke auctions, I didn't think I'd win having placed a bet but then the bidding ended and I won... sadly I cannot control this person to do my bidding because I own his soul so it's kind of a rip off.

6) Aside from yourself, who would you kill to see at this year's festival - and why?
There are so many good shows on this year it's really hard to decide, Ed Byrne is an obvious choice, as are Janey Godley and Mickey D as for NZ comedians I'm looking forward to Cori Gonzalez-Macuer's Promo Girls Aren't Models, Benjamin Crellin: Apocalypse Soon, Jerome's Variety Hour and The Comediettes among others.

7) What was the last film you watched?
Crazy that you asked, I just finished watching a movie today  - Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket (it's one of my favorites).

8) What was the one question you were glad you weren't asked on this questionnaire?
Anything that has to do with algebra, it was my weakest subject back when I was in school... so I'm glad you didn't ask me to solve an equation.

9) What's the one question we should have asked?
What are you eating right now?
