Scientists in Europe say they have connected a robot hand to an amputee, which allows him to feel sensations and control it with his thoughts.
The Italian-led team implanted electrodes into the arm of a 26-year-old man who had lost his left hand and forearm in a car accident.
The patient said it was a strange sensation but during the month-long experiment he learned to wriggle the robotic fingers independently, make a fist and grab objects.
