Left-over cheeseboard and onion flan

1 Sheet Short Crust Savoury Pastry
2 Brown onions sliced thinly
1 tbsp Butter
300 ml cream
250g Left over cheese crumbled or chopped up
Preheat oven as directed by the instructions on the pastry.
Roll out your pastry, cut and fit to your flan dish or tin. Line with baking paper and fill with baking beans. Bake on a baking tray for about 15 minutes. Remove the paper and beans, return to the oven for a further 10 minutes until golden. Set aside to cool.
Turn the oven down to 160.
While your pastry case is cooking, melt the butter and cook the onions until soft for about 10 minutes. Beat the eggs and cream together and season.
Spread the cheese onto the pastry case along with the cooked onions, pour over the egg mixture.
Bake for 40 minutes until set and golden.
