Lebanese Lamb Pide

Ingredients: 

4 x Lebanese bread

1kg lamb mince

1 clove garlic

1 tin chopped tomatoes

1tsp cinnamon powder

1 tsp cumin powder

Chilli flakes to taste

Fetta

1 sprig parsley, coriander and mint

1 tub mint yoghurt dip

1 lemon

2tbsp peanut oil

1 egg

Olive Oil

Chilli sauce

 

Method:

Heat peanut oil, add garlic, lamn mince and spices. Cook until mince is browned. Add tin of tomatoes and cook until reduced to a solid consistency.

Brush edge of Lebanese bread with beaten egg (for browning).

Spread mince over breads and crumble feta over the top.

Place in a pre-heated oven (200c) for ten minutes or until edges are brown and crispy.

Cut with pizza cutter and top with chopped herbs, a dollop of yoghurt dip, squeeze of lemon, drizzle of olive oil and chilli sauce to tatse.
