Corn Chowder with Southland Cheese rolls

1 carrot, grated
1 onion chopped
1 tin corn kernels
1 tin cream corn
50 g butter
1 heaped Tablespoon flour
2 cup hot water
1 tsp mixed herbs
Salt and pepper to taste

1 tin evaporated milk
500g cheese
1 packet onion soup mix
1 loaf of white bread
Butter to spread

Chowder
Melt butter in pot and cook onion and carrot , add flour till thick
Pour in both tins of corn and water
Add mixed herbs, salt and pepper and leave to cook and thicken

Cheese rolls
In a pot melt cheese and evaporated milk, mix in soup mix be careful not to burn
Once thick spread on 1 piece of bread and roll
Heat a frying pan and butter each side of the cheese roll, cook until brown

Serve your soup in a bowl with your cheese rolls, ENJOY!
