Homemade lemonade with kawakawa & ginger

1 1/2 cups honey or 1 cup sugar (you can use less sugar if you prefer a tarter taste)
1 cup water
1 cup lemon juice
2 cups of water
Ginger root
Kawakawa leaves (steeped)


Make a simple sugar syrup, first by dissolving the sugar in the boiling water and simmering for 3 minutes. 

Add the rest of your water, lemon juice, ginger root and Kawakawa leaves and leave to stand for 15 minutes.

Chill for an hour and serve with ice
