Burger King and the Lord
13 May 2003
An 18-year-old Pentecostal Christian has a beef with burger king. Brendon Ward reckons the Burger King in Johnsonville, Wellington, stopped his interview for the Assistant Manager's job when he said he couldn't work Sundays because of his religious beliefs. Burger King says they absolutely do not discriminate on the basis of race or any religious beliefs but they needed people who could work flexible hours. At least one Human Rights lawyer reckons Brendon has a case.
