Where is Eriq La Salle Today?
Eriq La Salle has made a smooth transition into directing and
producing with his production company Humble Journey Films, since
leaving his role as Dr Peter Benton on ER in its 8th season.
La Salle received three Emmy nominations for his work on "ER," in addition to several Golden Globe, SAG, and NAACP Image Award nominations. In 2002 La Salle won his third NAACP Image Award.
La Salle has performed in movies such as One Hour Photo and has also directed for Soul Food: The Series in the US.
La Salle played a Jamaican gangster in the independent film Johnny Was opposite Vinnie Jones, Samantha Mumba, Lennox Lewis, and Roger Daltrey. La Salle lived in Belfast for four weeks filming the movie, which he supported recently at the North American premiere of the film, at the American Black Film Festival in Miami.
La Salle recently directed an episode of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.
