Rachel Burstein (danced with Josh Kronfeld)
Born in the former USSR, Rachel Burstein moved with her family
to America at age of four. She began dancing with Ballet, Tap, and
Jazz, but once she was introduced to the Ballroom world, she was
hooked. When Rachel was ready to compete, she won every local
competition she entered, titles including California Open Amateur
Latin Champion, and was a regular United States National
Finalist.
When Rachel turned 18 she decided to turn pro and found a new
passion in teaching and training other dancers and couples. While
studying for a Communication/ Political Science degree, Rachel met
fellow dancer Cody Stephens and he was a perfect match.
Together Cody and Rachel won the New Zealand Professional Latin
Championships and have competed in over 60 competitions worldwide.
Rachel also recently represented New Zealand at the World Champions
in Austria, where she and Cody placed very highly.
