Roz Mason - director
Roz grew up in rural south Waikato on what would - in the following century - become known as a lifestyle block.
When she was ten her family turned townie but she swore she'd return to the country one day and now lives in rural south Wairarapa surrounded by grapes, olives, and bloody good sorts. She and her family are slowly returning a decent-sized patch of their land to native bush, and a fair bit to heritage orchard.
The fact is, making docos in far-flung places means Roz doesn't get to see home all that much. So joining the Country Calendar team is not one but two dreams come true - working on the best TV programme ever, and working closer to home. Her first episode of 2016 features her beloved home patch, the Ruakokoputuna Valley.
