VIDEO - What to expect on TVNZ 7
The TVNZ 7 schedule comprises approximately 70% local content, of which 40% is specially commissioned.
The programming on TVNZ 7 will give New Zealanders a forum to shape and express their views on national and international issues.
The schedule is made up of five main strands, grouping content with similar attributes to give viewers an expectation of the kind of programming they will find at a certain time each day.
These strands are complemented by other programmes that fit in
with the channel's objective to give viewers different perspectives
on issues relevant to them.
Made In NZ - daily at 10:10pm, 9:10am and
Highlights: One Land Two People, Wahine - The Untold Story,
Drinking For New Zealand.
Made In NZ features New Zealand documentaries that reflect our society - our heritage, our cultural makeup, and issues that are relevant to us as New Zealanders. It's about us, who we are, and the things that affect us.
NZ Voice - daily at 10:10am and 6:30pm, and from 6:00am to 9:00am on Saturdays
Highlights: Tagata Pasifika, Attitude, Rural Delivery, Marae, Eye to Eye, Asia Downunder, Praise Be.
NZ Voice provides another opportunity to view local programmes made for special interest communities in New Zealand. It's a reflection of our diverse, multi-cultural society. We all have something to say, and NZ Voice is the place where we say it. It represents the sum of our country's many parts.
Sport On 7 - daily at 10:35am and 5:35pm, and from 6:00am to 9:00am on Sundays.
Highlights: Countdown to Beijing, Airsports World, Golf Today, Motorsport Mundial, ICC Cricket World, ATP Tennis, FIFA Futbol Mundial.
TVNZ 7 is not without its dose of sport. Sport On 7 offers a variety of sports shows profiling popular sports. This strand features weekly sports magazine shows, and programmes giving a round-up of news and events in the sporting world.
NZ Views - daily at 12:10pm and 9:10pm
Highlights: 20/20 Encore, Agenda, Sunday Encore, NZ Doco of the Week, Back Benches, Media7.
NZ Views showcases our new local shows - made for TVNZ 7 - Back Benches and Media7. It includes NZ Doco of the Week, which will highlight an issue of relevance to us as New Zealanders, and also gives viewers another opportunity to see some of the best programming from TV ONE and TV2.
World's Best - daily at 2:10pm and 7:10pm
Highlights: Dateline, World Doco of the Week, This Week with George Stephanopoulos, Earth Report, Unreported World, From the BBC, Four Corners.
World's Best features some of the best documentaries and current affairs shows from around the world. These programmes will give us as New Zealanders different perspectives on global events, so that we can better understand the world and our place in it.
The Best of Business and Breakfast - daily 11.10am and 4.10pm
Each day viewers will be able to see a highlights version of the county's favourite business team on TV ONE - the headlines, events and interviews.
Waka Huia He Hokinga Mai - daily at
Waka Huia preserves the past for future New Zealanders TVNZ 7 brings viewers iconic New Zealand programme Waka Huia - both archive episodes in Waka Huia He Hokinga Mai, and a timeshift from TV ONE's current episodes.
Te Karere - daily at 6.10pm
Te Karere aims to convey Maori issues of national significance, relevant to all New Zealanders.
