Stranded in the middle of the ice

As survival stories go, Jake Speed has a tale to tell.

The man from Karemea was working in Greenland when his ski-doo ran out of gas, literally in the middle of nowhere.

As you could imagine, Jake had not anticipated being stranded in that unforgiving environment so he was totally unprepared - No supplies, no safety gear, no help.

He had just plenty of experience of working in those conditions, which ironically meant he was aware of just how much trouble he was in.
