They've attacked the prime minister, occupied land they believe was stolen and use the "n" word to describe Maori Party MPs.

The Popata brothers are following a tradition of Maori radicals taking on the state that stretches from Hone Heke to Hone Harawira.

They will lead a hikoi tomorrow from the far North to the Beehive, protesting the sale of state asssets to foreigners.

Defiance of the Beehive has seen Moerewa school's board of trustees sacked late today.

The school wanted to extend classes to years 11 to 13 but was told no last year.

Principal Keri Milne-Ihimaera wasn't taking that lying down. Theres been a war of words with the ministry.

Mark Sainsbury spoke to Milne-Ihimaera before the minister wielded the axe.


Wellington, once the home of civil servants in cardigans it now boasts some serious fashion credentials with its own fashion week.

It was down to one man's vision. At just 23, Cam Sneddon conceived the idea, developed it and got a team of equally young and keen people - most of whom don't even work in fashion - to make it a reality.
