Kiwis on Waitangi
Waitangi Day commemorates the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi and yet we barely hear a discussion about the treaty itself.
We're more concerned with who's protesting what, who's turning up where and how many police are there but we're about to see a lot more of the piece of paper itself. It's going on tour as the National Archives tries to remind us what's in it and what it's all about. A reminder we need by all accounts as Treaty expert Paul Moon told Connie Buchanan.
Taupo's been the setting for what's called "the Great Tourney" over the weekend where knights in armour from four countries battle it out for the title of jousting grand champion. Forget what you've seen in the movies, this is the real thing - jousting as it was 600 years ago. Bryan Seymour was amongst it.
