Mark Sainsbury put this to John Key.

ONE DIRECTION

The numbers are staggering - millions in sales, overnight hits, but the five young guys who tried out for X-Factor, then were cobbled together as a band, follow in a grand tradition.

EL JAMES
Millions have read EL James' books but not so many openly admit to it because the books are raunchy. The critics call them "mummy porn".
They have transformed Erika Leonard London, TV executive, into EL James, best-selling author. Her trilogy occupies the top three spots on the New York Times best-selling e-books list.
Mark Sainsbury talked to her from London.
