Behind the scenes: the producers
Burying Brian is produced by Julie Christie and Robin Scholes.
A former newspaper journalist and documentary director, Julie
Christie founded her own production company, Touchdown Television
in 1991, and built it into New Zealand's leading entertainment
production company, which she later sold Touchdown to Dutch media
group, Eyeworks.
She still has a long-term commitment to the company, now as
CEO.
Julie has achieved most of her international success with
unscripted formats including The Chair and Treasure
Island. The company's formats, most of which were first aired
in New Zealand, have been licensed to 30 countries.
Burying Brian is her first television drama
series. The series is being re-versioned in the US, Germany,
Belgium, Holland and Spain.
