Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatch - companion to the Galaxy Note 3 smartphone
Samsung's Galaxy Gear smartwatch lets users to live in the moment while staying connected to the Galaxy Note 3.
It notifies users of incoming messages, such as calls, texts, emails and alerts, delivers a preview of those messages and creates the opportunity for users to accept or discretely ignore those messages.
When an incoming message requires more than a quick glance, users can pick up the Note 3 and the Smart Relay feature will instantly reveal the full content on the screen.
The built-in speaker on the wrist strap allows users to conduct hands-free calls directly from the Gear, maintaining connections to their mobile communications without disrupting their daily routines.
For example, a user leaving the grocery store, whose hands are full with shopping bags, could still make a call by speaking into the Galaxy Gear without touching the screen. Users can also draft messages, create new calendar entries, set alarms, and check the weather on the Gear with S Voice commands.
Price: At Telecom exclusively for one month from mid-October for $449 (for the Galaxy Gear) and $1199 (for the Galaxy Note 3). Contract discounts will apply.
Available in a range of colours including black, white and the orange model shown.

TomTom Multisport GPS Watch
TomTom's new range of GPS sports watches deliver at-a-glance performance information for runners, cyclists and swimmers.
The TomTom Runner and the TomTom Multi-Sport shown today both feature an extra-large display to track time, distance and pace on an large, high resolution display, and they also have the industry's first one-button control to make it easier for users to access the information they need which can then be uploaded to a variety of sports tracking websites such as MapMyFitness.
TomTom Multi-Sport includes all the features included in TomTom Runner, and also allows multi-sport athletes to track their distance, time, speed and other key metrics when they cycle or swim.
The TomTom Multi-Sport is also enhanced with the following features and options:
- Dedicated Bike Mount: Easily see key stats at a glance with the specially-designed bike mount
- Cadence Sensor: Track cadence, speed and distance, indoors and out.
- Built-in Altimeter: Accurately track elevation, ascent, descent and grade with the built-in barometric altimeter
- Swimming Motion Sensor: Check detailed swim metrics such as laps, strokes, time and speed, and calculate a SWOLF score to show swim efficiency.
