Week 11: results
Well done Tauranga Boys' College (Nick Olsen, Nick Clarke, Campbell Alexander) who won against a competitive Ruapehu College from Ohakune (Cameron Baker, Lara Kumeroa, Diana Green), who took out this week's quarter round.
Both teams had to cook mini roast dinners. Here's the results and comments:
Green team: Ruapehu
Kept skin on the chicken and then brushed with sesame oil; this increased fat content
Served with mesclun salad - used roasted pumpkin seeds - dry roasted in pan which is a great way to bring out the flavour.
Replaced feta with ricotta as salad dressing which reduced the fat and salt content.
Red Team: Tauranga
Separated vegetables and cut them small to make sure they cooked.
Added lots of vegetables
Used a lemon dressing - nice alternative.
