Produced by Ridley Scott, this epic, character-driven thriller focuses on a government experiment called Project NOAH, where scientists are testing a dangerous virus that could eradicate all human diseases.

But it also has the potential to wipe out the human race, creating horrific vampire-like beings called virals that are immune to disease but lethal.

Using death row inmates as guinea pigs for the project, the scientists have discovered that the younger the test subject is, the less side effects they have.

In fact, a child could come through the trial with zero side effects.

But there lies the moral dilemma – should they sacrifice one child in the hope of saving the human race?

On the path of trying to protect humanity, have the leaders of Project NOAH lost their own humanity?

Tasked with bringing in the chosen child, Amy Bellafonte (Saniyya Sidney), Federal Agent Brad Wolgast realises he must protect her.

So what starts as a routine mission, becomes an action-packed pursuit as Brad flees his employers with Amy in tow.

Saved by the Bell star Mark-Paul Gosselaar plays Agent Wolgast, a character who was originally killed off early in the book series.

But don’t think that means he won’t be sticking around. The first novel spans almost 100 years and the show’s writer Liz Heldens told the Hollywood Reporter they are ‘slowing down the story’ to work as a TV series.

Heldens added that she could see the first book spanning 3 seasons on its own and confirmed that the first season will remain firmly in the present day.
