Everything you need to know about Dickensian
Charles Dickens’ most famous characters collide in this imaginative period drama.

You might think you know all of Charles Dickens’ stories, but you’ve never heard this one.
Based on the novels of the English author and starring some of his most famous (and infamous) characters, Dickensian is a period drama set in the fictional 19th-century world of Dickens’ novels.
Like fan fiction for a classic literature devotee, the story follows a young Miss Havisham who we originally met in Great Expectations.
Long before she became the iconic jilted bride of the novel, Miss Havisham is dealing with the death of her father and realising she is the heir to the family business.
Meanwhile, there’s a murder to solve and on the case is none other than the shrewd and dedicated Inspector Bucket of Bleak House fame.
Ebenezer Scrooge’s business partner Jacob Marley has been found dead on Christmas Eve and almost everyone in this fictional London is a suspect. Even the old miser himself, who was originally the star of A Christmas Carol.
From child criminal the Artful Dodger to poor family man Bob Cratchit, Inspector Bucket is investigating who had the motive for murder – and there’s no case he can’t solve.
Made with both fans of the novels and newcomers in mind, Dickensian is a delightful and imaginative blending of Dickens’ most famous novels with a whodunnit that will keep you guessing.
