Woman first to be issued total alcohol ban

A 20-year-old woman is the first person in England and Wales to be banned from all licensed premises.

Laura Hall was issued the drinking banning order after numerous alcohol related offences.

It means she cannot buy or consume alcohol in pubs and nightclubs or even bottle stores.

The DBO remains in place for two years but can be lifted next year if Hall completes an alcohol misuse course.
