An elderly woman has been charged with murder after her 98-year-old husband was found dead in their inner-city Sydney home.
Police were called to the couple's apartment, on Liverpool Street, Surry Hills, after a relative expressed concerns for the man's welfare.
They found the body of the man in the lounge room.
Police said he had head wounds.
The man's 92-year-old wife was subsequently questioned, through an interpreter.
She has been charged with murder and appeared via video link at Parramatta Local Court on Saturday afternoon.
The woman is due to appear at Central Local Court on Monday.
