Wildfires burn across California

Wildfires are burning out of control in California.

They are spreading in the hills near Santa Cruz and hundreds of homes have been evacuated in northern California.

The fire has been blazing since Thursday and now covers more than 400 hectares.
 
Around 600 residents of Bonny Doon have been told to leave their homes as it moves closer to the township.
