Fijian authorities say two people have died after the category two Cyclone Mick thrashed through Viti Levu overnight.
A boy from Nadarivatu was hit by a falling tree and another person was killed, believed drowned in Keiyasi.
The cyclone hit on Monday night with flooding in Suva and surrounding areas. Navua was one of the worst hit, the town had to be evacuated.
However, the Fijian weather office has downgraded the cyclone warning for the Lomai-Viti and Lau groups.
It is expected that Cyclone Mick will be 130 kilometres southeast of Kadavu by 9am on Tuesday morning.
Unicef spokesman Tim Sutton says many people have been impacted, especially the most vulnerable.
He says many are struggling to survive and living in informal settings along the tidal rivers.
Sutton says around 140 evacuation centres have been opened up for those displaced.
Over 2000 people are now reported to have taken shelter at 60 different evacuation centers around the country.
