November 15 - evening:
Bangladeshi twins Trishna and Krishna go to sleep in Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) and are kept sedated overnight in intensive care.
November 16:
Distressed Moira Kelly, who saved the girls through her Children First Foundation, leaves them in the hands of surgeons
8.30am (AEDT): Surgeons begin operation to separate heads of the girls.
10am: Team makes first cut to remove bone on back part of head after several hours of positioning tubes to ensure no pressure on eyes
Evening: RCH surgery head Leo Donnan, says the chances of the twins pulling through successfully remain at only 25 per cent.
Supporters gather at the Mary MacKillop Centre in East Melbourne for an all-night prayer vigil for the twins.
