Strong quake off Vanuatu

A 6.6 magnitude earthquake struck off Vanuatu island on Monday, the United States Geological Survey said.

No tsunami warning was issued after the quake, which was centred 452 km northwest of Santo in Vanuatu.

The quake had a depth of 42.8 km.
