Sallies to open stall at Sexpo

It will not be the sexiest message at Sexpo, but it's one the Salvation Army wants heard.

Amid the sex toys and erotic films at Melbourne's Sexpo at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre next month, the Salvos will open their own stall to promote sexuality from a Christian standpoint and highlight the scourge of human trafficking in prostitution.

The Herald Sun newspaper says the Salvation Army's social justice director, Captain Danielle Strickland, will hand out information on human trafficking, the sexualisation of girls and copies of the Jesus Loves Porn Stars New Testament.

"We're not going there to condemn anybody. We aren't going to lecture people. We're going there to be available," Captain Strickland told the Herald Sun.

The Sallies were warmly welcomed at Brisbane's Sexpo event earlier this year, she said.
