A Sydney plumber is the latest person to be dragged into the relationship woes of Lara Bingle and Michael Clarke.

The model and cricketer broke off their engagement last week after old nude photos of Bingle found their way into the public domain.

Twin Pipes Plumbing have spent several hours at the couple's luxury apartment - trying to retrieve an 'item of significant value' from the toilet.

It Is understood someone attempted to flush away Bingle's $200,000 engagement ring.

Plumbers have as yet been unable to rescue the missing treasure.
